Our goal is to make your home and environment safe from tree damage. We make an effort to find multiple ways to fix trees instead of just cutting them down. We provide a friendly, dedicated experience as we educate you on the health of your tree(s). We are honest and fair when we come to an agreement on the service required to maintain or remove your tree and roots.
We are Sacramento’s certified Arborists, specializing in tree and shrub care. We exist because of our “city of trees!” We take pride in being meticulous on every job from assessment to cleanup. We offer a wide range of services including tree and shrub damage correction, proactive maintenance, forest aesthetics and tree health.
We had a notice from the city that our tree was blocking a streetlight and had to be trimmed within 2 weeks. Everyone else we contacted said they could come in 1 to 3 months. Sac Valley was able to get it done within the deadline, and it was done well.
What can you say? You cannot improve excellent, and that was what it was. William and his crew arrived on the scheduled time. Cleared what was needed so nothing would get broken and went right to work. Checking with me to make sure his crew was doing what I expected. After finishing with the trees my yard was cleaned up better then what it was before they started, plus every thing was placed back in the exact place. Dale said he would arrive between 10-11 am for an estimate. He updated me when he had his GPS and said he would arrive at 1030 and he showed up exactly on time. It's nice to have my time respected and good communication. He knew the name of all my trees and gave good advice on them. He said he would have his estimate to me by the end of the day and he did. It was a very reasonable price and I was very comfortable with his competence so we are moving forward. I will post another review and pics when the work is done.

We've had Sac Valley Precision Pruning out twice now to trim trees on our property. Dale the arborist was very knowledgeable and took his time going over details of the all the trees on the property. The crew that came out to do the work both times were great to work with, completed everything we needed and cleaned all the debris up. Great value for the price. We look forward to using their services again in the future.
Dale and his team did a great job! I needed 3 very large (dead/diseased) trees cut down and removed from our backyard. Dale is an extremely knowledgeable arborist and took the time to give feed back on some of the other trees on the property. His knowledge and advice was very much appreciated and was the deciding factor for me to select Sac Valley Precision Pruning over the other companies that also bid on the project. I would definitely use Dale's company in the future and would highly recommend them to others.
From my initial communication with Dale it was apparent that he was professional, knowledgeable, and generally cared about trees. We were sad to lose a large established Date Palm but it had rot and we decided to have it removed. The crew showed up and made quick, efficient work of getting the tree down. They cleared all of the debris and cleaned up completely. They are returning this week to grind the stump. We are so happy with the ease of this transaction. Sac Valley Precision Tree made this a smooth process. Very nice, hard workers and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

His pricing was very competitive, the best I got from 4 different yelp sources. His service was excellent and he provided valuable inputs to grow/take care of our other trees. Perfect professional team who was very responsive, took care of every small item, and cleaned up/fixed everything after. I hope he takes personalized classes as per our gardening needs. Dale is the most knowledgeable person I've ever met when it comes to tree and plant health. I enjoy having numerous trees and plants in my yard and frequently visit Green Acres for my landscaping needs. As good as some of their employees are in helping, Dale takes this to a new level of expertise. Dale has smart and simple solutions to keep your landscaping looking its best with low cost suggestions that truly work. He provided for me a perfect diagnosis of three trees and a few plants that needed help with disease control. Extremely generous with his time in providing you with the knowledge to have a more luxurious and healthy yard. For the past year he has provided service to the home of my daughter in Elk Grove as well as currently helping me now and it's all been A+. Very reasonable costs after the free consultation. Extensive background and knowledge in tree maintenance and an expert in providing tree injections when necessary to bring your trees back to health, or maybe you want a tree that won't develop fruit that is messy to clean up. He has the knowledge to know what ingredient will stop fruit production to give your tree a bright look without the maintenance. Just amazing. Dale was the arborist who worked with us. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and communicated well. Their bid was much more cost effective compared to the other competitor I looked into, but the quality of work was excellent. I will be reaching out to Sac Valley Precision Pruning next year for maintaining my trees.
Side note, they were so dedicated on completing their job in a timely manner, the people who came to remove our tree worked all day during the heatwave earlier this year! I can't imagine working in over 100 degree weather for hours.
Very friendly and responsive support. They responded to our inquiry very quickly and made scheduling an appointment very easy. Dale came out and was able to identify each tree by sight, providing insight into the problems the trees were having, the suggested trimming type for the best shade / future growth, and then breaking down our quote per tree and for the total job. He had a lot of great suggestions into the technique to use for trimming each tree and clearly had a wealth of knowledge! Even though we ultimately didn't go through with the trimming, we really appreciated their professionalism while providing the consultation/quote and would definitely recommend Sac Valley Precision Pruning!

Took great care of my yard and fence while chopping and removing 3 very large palm trees. Also grinded the stumps and timmed the palms I still had. They cleaned up and took all the pieces of the trees, which was a LOT. We are very happy with the outcome.
The crew of Sac Valley Precision Pruning were amazing. They removed 12-years of bamboo from our back yard. Dug up every plant and cleared the soil of bamboo roots. Great job, guys!!

Sac Valley Precision Pruning did a fantastic job removing a fallen tree and pruning a large pine tree. They were on time, efficient, cleaned up well, and did excellent work.
Dale came out within just a few days of us calling about large broken branch. He quoted us on that tree and one more for competitive rate (we had other tree quoted a few months prior by another company). Also, got full education on tree care and he gave us tips on caring for them and installed high potency vitamins in the trunk. The next week his crew of three came and they did a wonderful job and were very friendly. They cleaned up after as well. Will be calling them again for large tree maintenance and shared with my neighbors.

We spoke to 6 or 7 tree service companies. What stands out is Dales knowledge and commitment to the work he does. He loves trees and helping people better understand tree care. He was incredibly informative, professional, kind, and helpful. He helped us understand how to shape and care for the elm and pecan we have on our property. His pricing was middle of the road but I feel that the value is well worth the money. He and his guys have a commitment to making sure they spend the time caring for the trees the way they deserve. Not all companies that came out spoke the way Dale did. It was refreshing to hear someone start from a place of passion for tree care and works his business around that. If you are serious about caring for your trees and want to better understand what that takes i'd highly recommend Dale. It will not be the cheapest but the job will be done with more care and knowledge about what your trees need to thrive and in the long term the care of your trees and what they provide are worth the investment.
I cannot stress enough the excellent job that Sac Valley Precision Pruning did in our Fair Oaks yard! They were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, prompt, seamless in communications and so much more! We had a gigantic oak tree fall during a recent wind storm, creating a dangerous situation and a huge mess. Dale, Dave, Casey and the whole crew knew exactly how to remove the enormous tree and were so well organized from start to finish. They cleaned up completely after they had completed the tree removal. Their positive attitude, honesty and concern showed through during the entire process. This business truly goes "above and beyond" and we highly recommend them!
